If you are unable to come in to practice, that does not mean you are unable to have access to a detailed sight test. Our Optometrists have specialist equipment which they can bring to you, so you are still able to have a thorough eye test and new glasses if necessary.
The Optometrist will check both the health of your eyes and if you require any new or updated glasses – just the same as if you came to practice. They will bring a selection of frames to choose from if needed, and if you receive certain benefits you may be entitled to help towards the cost of your glasses.
We aim to deliver your new glasses within two weeks following your appointment, where we will ensure that your glasses are fitted correctly and are comfortable for you.
Most people who have a sight test at home are entitled to an NHS test so will not have to pay for the visit, however if you are not entitled to NHS help we charge £80.
To arrange a home visit sight test contact one of our practices and we will be able to arrange this for you. We will give you an approximate arrival time, and if you have any special requirements please do not hesitate to let us know. We will do our best to be as accommodating as possible.
